History
Beachside History

Established in 1994, Beachside of Connecticut Soccer Club has become one of Connecticut’s most successful premier soccer clubs, serving Southern Connecticut and Westchester County’s most talented and committed male and female youth soccer players. With boy’s teams ranging from the U-12 through U18 age groups, girl’s teams at the U12 through U16 age groups, a USL Men’s Super 20 team, and a developmental training program for players between the ages of 5 and 11 year olds, Beachside of Connecticut has built a strong foundation of bottom to top player development and success. As of 2010 Beachside of Connecticut Soccer Club works closely with over 350 of the area's most talented soccer players. These Beachside players represent 25 Fairfield County & nearby communities.


Success
Over the years, Beachside has won a Super Clubs National Championship, top level youth tournament Championships, a USYS Regional Chamionshio, numerous state cup and premier league titles, participated in the USYS regional semi-finals, and and in 2008 senttheir Men’s Super-20 team to the USL National Finals. Beachside players are consistently represented in the Connecticut OPD program, with several every year making the regional ODP pool. In the past four years Beachside has also had players participating in the US national team player pools at the U16, U18, U23 and Men’s levels. Beachside alumni have found tremendous success at the collegiate level both academically and athletically, with players being recruited and playing at Wake Forest, Davidson, Dartmouth, Brown, Seton Hall, UCONN, Fairfield U, Boston University, Quinnipiac, UCLA, Cornell, and a host of NCAA Division II and III schools. In 2007, Beachside graduates Jeff Leach was a member of the 2007 NCAA Division I Champions, Wake Forest University. Colin Nagle, also a Beachside graduate, played a significant role in Middlebury College’s 2007 NCAA Division III Championship run. Former Beachside players also include MLS 2004 rookie of the year Kyle Martino and Danish 1st Division professionals Benny Feilhaber (a US National Team player) and Marcus Tracy (US National Pool - also won the Herrman Trophy after playing college soccer at Wake Forest.)
